BEFOREAFTER
A patio door that operates smoothly, seals properly, and locks securely is the boundary between your living space and the outdoors. Our handyman door specialists install and repair patio doors of all types, sliding glass, hinged French, and multi-panel folding configurations, so the door works correctly, weatherproofs tightly, and looks right in the opening from day one.
Professional Solutions
Patio door installation requires precise shimming in the rough opening, correct fastening through the frame, and thorough weatherproofing at every edge so the door operates smoothly and keeps air and water out.
Kaminskiy Care and Repair’s handyman door technicians handle the full installation, including old door removal, frame inspection, threshold setting, and hardware adjustment, and repair existing patio doors that have developed operational or sealing issues. With crews across the United States, a properly functioning patio door is a call away.
A patio door that binds, drafts, or lets in water around the frame is more than an inconvenience, it is an energy drain and a potential water damage source. Our handyman door crews level and plumb the frame, seal every penetration, and adjust hardware so the door operates correctly in every season.
We shim the rough opening and verify plumb, level, and square before fastening so the door operates correctly for years, not just on installation day.
Flashing, sill pan, weatherstripping, and exterior caulk are all part of every patio door installation, not optional add-ons.
Locks, handles, and rollers are adjusted and tested so the door latches securely and slides or swings without binding.
We stand behind our patio door installation and repair workmanship.
BEFORE
AFTERFull installation of sliding glass, French, and multi-panel folding patio doors, from old door removal through frame prep, shimming, fastening, weatherproofing, and hardware adjustment.
Sliding doors that jump the track, French doors that drag at the floor, and panels that no longer latch properly are common issues we fix on existing patio door installations, usually without a full replacement.
Cracked or fogged patio door glass panels can be replaced without replacing the entire door unit. We work with standard sizes and can coordinate custom glass orders for non-standard configurations.
Sliding and French patio doors installed, adjusted, sealed and secured.
Most patio door problems are rollers, tracks, hinges and weatherstripping, not the door. We lift the panel out, replace worn rollers, clean and straighten the track or re-hang sagging French doors, then adjust the latch and lock so the door closes with one hand and seals against wind and water.

Call 210-940-3841Usually, yes. A sliding door that drags or jumps the track almost always has worn rollers, a dirty or bent track, or a door that has dropped out of adjustment. We replace the rollers, clean or repair the track and adjust the door so it glides and latches. We suggest a new door only when the frame is damaged or rotted.
Fog or moisture between the panes means the seal of the insulated glass unit has failed. The glass unit can be replaced in the existing door, so you do not need a new door for that alone. We measure the glass, order the unit and install it in the same frame. If the frame and rollers are also worn out, we price both options.
Yes. Hinged French doors sag, rub at the top corner and stop latching as the hinges and the frame settle. We adjust or replace the hinges, plane and reseal the door where needed, replace the weatherstripping and sweeps, and tune the lock and strike so both doors close and lock without force.
Yes. We remove the old door, check the opening and the sill for rot, set the new door plumb and level, insulate and flash around it, and seal it inside and out. A door that replaces one of the same size in the same opening is a one-visit job in most homes. Enlarging the opening is a structural change that we price separately and that may need a permit.
For a repair, the price depends on what is worn: rollers and a track cleaning, new glass, a lock and handle set, or a full weatherstrip kit. For a new door, the door itself is the main cost, then the work to remove the old one and fit the new one into the opening. You get the price in writing before we start.
