The framing of the house. Stucco and siding alone will not hold an awning in wind. We locate the studs, headers or rim joist behind the finish, through-bolt or lag the brackets into them, and seal each penetration against water. On a masonry wall we use rated sleeve anchors.
In most cases, yes. Stretched or broken arm springs, a bent arm, a slipping gearbox, a motor that stopped responding and torn fabric can all be fixed or replaced on the existing frame. If the frame itself is bent, we tell you whether a repair makes sense.
